After the tiring Miami GP, F1 drivers went for vacations ahead of the Spanish GP. But Carlos decided to stay behind and enjoy his weekend break in Miami where he went golfing with the American professional golfer, Dustin Johnson.

Apart from driving F1 cars, Carlos Sainz is a massive golf fan. He goes golfing whenever he gets some time to spare. Sainz has been spotted playing golf with his teammates like Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. Further, Miami is famous for having some phenomenal golf courses.

The 27-year-old Spaniard enjoyed the golf session with the American professional. He shared glimpses of the golfing session on his social media. Further, Sainz stated that he tried to look decent in front of Johnson, who has won two major golf tournaments.

Carlos Sainz ‘looking forward’ to winning the Spanish GP

Sainz will next be traveling to Spain for the sixth race of the 2022 calendar. The upcoming Spanish GP will be a home race for the 27-year-old Spaniard. There is already a lot of hype among the fans to witness Sainz racing on the home ground.

There is a speculation of a crowd of over 100,000 supporting fans at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya. Sainz is undoubtedly the favorite among the Spanish fans to win the upcoming race. However, the Ferrari man himself is more eager to win the first race of the season at the home circuit.

“To win? It would be unique because it would be the first success in F1, and it would be at home, that’s why I work every day and try to get there as soon as possible.” The Ferrari driver said, “The fans are looking forward to it, but I’m the one who wants it the most.”
